Ten winners from over 250 applicants were honored at Fotografiska Berlin in 2024. The award was presented in two categories: “Producer” and “Self-Producing Artist”.

The jury consisted of Purple Disco Machine (star DJ and hit producer), Inéz (singer, composer), Isabel Gracefield (producer, mixer, engineer), Henrike Blome (Head of A&R Four Music), Noraa (musician, songwriter), Vincent v. Schlippenbach (producer “The Krauts”).

Joules the Fox

Joules the Fox is a musician, singer and producer in the folk, pop, indie and neo-classical genres. In recent years, she has played over 200 concerts in Europe and Canada and realized 30 releases with various international artists.

kuoko

KUOKO

KUOKO's pop songs have already been streamed millions of times and deal with topics related to being a FLINTA* in a digital society. Her genre-fluid sound is characterized by her willingness to experiment. KUOKO has already produced and released two albums.

luisa

lùisa

lùisa's sound combines folk rock and indie pop with groove-heavy retro arrangements and spherical dreampop influences. Her most recently released album “New Woman” gained international recognition and led to Europe-wide appearances, including at the Iceland Airwaves Festival and as support for Arlo Parks.

melane

Melane

Melane is known for her cross-genre mix of Afro, rumba and pop. In 2024, the artist will present her first solo debut album “Mirrors & Windows”. In addition to her musical career, she is actively involved in social issues and cultural identity.

philo

Philo Tsoungui

As an artist with Cameroonian roots and a fascination for EDM and IDM, Philo Tsoungui transcends genre boundaries. With degrees in classical percussion and popular music, Philo has toured the world with artists such as Tarek K.I.Z, Disarstar, Fatoni, Megaloh, Mine and The Mars Volta.

Sera Kalo

Sera Kalo is a genre-fluid artist who experiments with different sounds. The Caribbean-American singer, lyricist and songwriter has already worked on over 23 albums in Germany and Asia. Her debut album “eXante” was nominated for the German Record Critics' Award in 2023.

Lisa Kida

Lisa Kida is a producer with Kosovan roots and creates a cross-genre sound with international influences. Her style includes influences from pop, experimental reggaeton, dancehall and hiphop. She is a resident at Riverside Studios and part of the music duo 'BUBBLES'.

Mia Diekow

Mia Diekow has been working as a producer and singer-songwriter since 2007. Her style combines influences from various genres such as chamber pop, indie, folk and electronica. Since 2020, she has been an activist for post-infectious diseases and is co-founder of “Long COVID Germany”.

Perera Elsewhere

Sasha Perera aka Perera Elsewhere is an award-winning producer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and DJ in the field of experimental pop. Her sound combines experimental beats, deep bass frequencies and existential themes. She has collaborated with renowned artists such as Nina Hagen and her work has been licensed in films by Ava DuVernay and Paolo Sorrentino.

YUKI

YUKI combines modern sounds with intimate details. Her productions are influenced by genres such as darker hyperpop, electronic, dance and trap. She has collaborated with artists such as Vamero, iiven, Sevi Rin, Floss, Nike101 and LilliPop.

In 2023, a total of 156 female* producers applied. Seven of them were awarded at a ceremony at Soho House in Berlin.

The jury included Charlie McClean (Grammy-nominated producer & songwriter), Moses Schneider (music producer and sound engineer) and Novaa (producer and winner of the Female* Producer Prize 2022).

Aufmischen

Aufmischen (english: "to stir sth. up") is a versatile producer, composer and singer/songwriter, who focuses on high-energy-productions. As a drummer and live-musician, she knows her craft very well and attaches great importance to impulsive drumbeats and vibrating basslines. She values deep artist-producer connections and a trustworthy environment. Lately, she produced for artists like Raumfisch, Novaa, Grim 104 and Audiohentai.

EVÎN

EVÎN produces alternative R&B involving sample chops and augmented voices. Her music blends elements from genres such as soul, jazz and electronica with her Kurdish roots, giving her a distinctive sound within the scene. She is currently working with artists such as Noah Slee and the Berlin-based ensemble, “A Song For You”.

Just Honest

Just Honest is an artist, songwriter and producer who creates next-gen pop without any self-censorship or limits being placed on the issues covered. Being a transgender person born on the outskirts of Europe, Just Honest’s life had been full of turmoil. Their self-produced debut album 'No Love No Hate' (2023) has been met with critical acclaim and has achieved 3 million streams across all platforms.

Kota No Uta

Kota No Uta

Kota No Uta is a Berlin-based artist, producer and singer-songwriter. Her experimental sound is rooted in neo-soul, jazz, and folk music. Her music has received plenty of airplay and has been played on BBC2 by Jamie Cullum, on JazzFm UK by Chris Philips and on Soho Radio by Karl Boss.

Mimski is an artist, producer and turntablist based in Essen. Her style is relatively hard, experimental and dedicated to the golden era of hiphop. Mimski has collaborated with a wide range of artists such as Cannibal Ox, King Kashmere, Cappo, Bigg Jus from Company Flow, Fingathing, Brett Fullerton.

The jury included Herbie Crichlow (producer and five-time Grammy winner), Sarah Schneider (Head of A&R Columbia Germany) and Jovanka von Wilsdorf (initiator of the competition).
